The Impossible Burger
The name says it all. Take a bite of this burger and you’re first reaction will undoubtedly be, “how is this possible?” We got a taste of the Impossible Burger at this year’s Chefs Collaborative Summit in NYC. It’s a 100% vegetarian burger created by Impossible Foods, a company dedicated to recreating your favorite meats and cheeses without using any animals in the ingredients.

What makes this meatless burger taste so much like the typical beef burger you know is the ingredient known as Heme. Heme is found in all animals and plays a role in giving a typical burger its meaty taste and texture. Luckily, Heme can also be found in a variety of plants and legumes and Impossible Foods, through extensive research and testing, has pulled this ingredient from these non-meat sources and combined it with other key ingredients like melon and coconut – resulting in a vegetarian burger with a genuine meat look and taste.

The Impossible Burger will be rolling out to restaurants soon and is unfortunately not yet available to the general public. However, if you’re a chef or restaurateur, you can sign up to be considered for pre-release access to the Impossible Burger and be ahead the game on what is sure to be a smash hit in the vegetarian (and even non-vegetarian) world.
