Products We Love – boonville piment d’ville spice

How appropriate. FlashPEPPER loves a pepper based spice. Well, our bias for peppers aside, this spice is the real deal. Boonville piment d’ville spice (say that three times fast) crossed our path at a recent tradeshow where they were rolling their spice in chocolates. Such a delicious combination. piment d'ville farmer The makers of the spice cultivate their peppers in Boonville, CA where the seeds are locally grown and hand harvested. As they say on their site:

The spice has gradually replaced black pepper in everyday basque cooking. We find ourselves using piment d’ville on everything from popcorn to simple roast chicken or in a red chile cream sauce. It also works well with chocolate or on a cocktail glass.

The applications seem endless (and endlessly delicious). Visit their website to learn more about their product and buy it – we promise it won’t disappoint. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for when they post some recipes – stay tuned for some updates from FlashPepper when we test it in the kitchen!
